Dorothy Ruth (Weist) Douglas

Dorothy Ruth Douglas, 87, of Hopewell, PA; passed away at home on Sunday, September 11, 2022.  She was born on June 14, 1935; a daughter of the late William and Bertha (Giffin) Weist. On July 22, 1954 in Maryland; she was united in marriage to Ray Kenneth Douglas.

Along with her husband she is survived by daughter Robin G. Clark married to Barry; grandson Ray Tromm, great grandson Ray Mitchell Vincent married to Cheyann (Wilson) and great great granddaughter Sophia Wilson.

Mrs. Douglas was preceded in death by a daughter Holly Jo Douglas and was the last surviving member of her siblings John Weist, Billy Weist, Paul Weist, Sara Reyan and Velma Taylor.

She was a graduate of Saxton Liberty High School class of 1954.  Dorothy worked at Pennknoll Village for twenty-nine years in housekeeping.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, October 1, 2022 at 2:00 P.M. at The Bedford Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 7408 Main Road, Bedford, PA 15522, all are welcome to attend.
