Doris Williams Obituary

Doris J. Williams, 91, of Plank Road, Hopewell; passed away on Monday, June 27, 2022 at Pennknoll Village. She was born on June 28, 1930 in Everett, Pennsylvania, the daughter of the late William J. and Elmira M. (Redinger) Whisel. On July 5, 1948 in Winchester, Virginia; she was united in marriage to Luke J. Williams.

Along with her husband of seventy-three years, she is survived by children Judy Fogal married to Richard of Chambersburg, PA; John Williams married to Shirley of Fayettsville, GA and Timmy Williams married to Carol of Hopewell, PA; grandchildren Shawn Williams married to Rebecca, Richard Fogal married to Ashley, Jeremy Fogal and Carrie Longstreth married to David; two step grandsons and wives; nine great grandchildren; five step great grandchildren; siblings Donna Sponslor, Patricia Zook married to John, Betty Koontz, Linda Felton married to Harry and Ronald Whisel married to June; sisters-in-law Darlene and Berneice Whisel. 

She was preceded in death by brothers, Robert Whisel, Donald Earl Whisel, William Whisel and Terry Whisel.

Doris loved to read and to be with her children and grandchildren. She was a member of the Hopewell United Methodist Church and was a graduate of Everett Area High School Class of 1947.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Burial to be held at Hopewell Cemetery.
