Doris M. (Twigg) Foor

Doris M. Foor, 90, of June Drive, Roaring Spring, formerly of Bedford, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2020, at Nason Hospital.
She was born on July 8, 1930, in Cumberland, Md., a daughter of the late Jesse A. and Maude E. (Conner) Twigg. On Dec. 1, 1951, she was united in marriage to Richard G. Foor; he preceded her in death on April 23, 2016.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy D. Burket, and a nephew, Bobby Burket.

She is survived by a brother-in-law, Joseph D. Foor, married to Brenda, Bedford; sisters-in-law: Iva Jane Tewell, Carlisle; Laverne Foor, Everett; and Norma Foor, Bedford; and many nieces and nephews.

She graduated from Everett High School, Class of 1947, and Thompson Business College in 1950. Over the years, Doris was employed in the medical records department of Geisinger Hospital, office of Dr. W.F. McCahan, insurance and payroll department at Memorial Hospital of Bedford and the office of Dr. Charles W. Griffith's until his untimely death.

After retirement, she enjoyed helping her husband with woodworking, supplying several gift shops in the area, Gettysburg and Maryland.

Doris was of the Christian faith, she enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 17, at 2 p.m. at the Everett Cemetery with the Rev. Robert R. Robertson officiating.
