Donald Lear, Sr. Obituary

Donald Richard Lear Sr. 64 of Everett, PA entered the golden gates on August 30, 2020 at his home, while surrounded by his family and in the arms of his wife, daughters and sons. Blessing the world with his golden heart on May 2, 1956, a son of the late Alvin & Audrey (Styers) Lear.

Donald is 1 of 14 children, and is survived by many brothers and sisters: The late Lois wife of Ken Webster, Leroy husband of Deb, Peg wife of Bill Morgan, Mary wife to Jack Hafer, Dorothy wife to Donnie Hafer, Norma wife to Joe Fornwalt, William husband to Lisa, David husband to Lisa, Patti wife to Keith Woltz , Robert husband to Kristi, and Cathy wife to Ron Wilson.

On June 14, 1987 he joined his hand in marriage to the love of his life Regina Kay (Dicken) Lear. Because, Donald & Regina fell in love they blessed the world with nine children. Victoria Lear of Everett, Donald Jr husband of Megan (Deneen) of Breezewood, Garrett husband of Olivia (Leber) of Shippensburg, Zachary significant other of Alicia Hambright of Everett, Daniel husband of Casey (Ensminger) of Everett, Hunter of Everett, Benjamin significant other of Kaylee Pittman of Everett, The Late Hannah Grace, and Audreawna of Everett, and a boy he owned as his own son Cody McFarland of Breezewood.

Don, was blessed incredibly by the presence of his grandchildren, in which he was an out of this world "Pappy" to. Those grandchildren were the highlight of his life; Ryatt Howsare, Isabella Lear, Rocket Howsare, Priscilla Lear, Juliette Lear, Easton Lear, Henry Lear, and an unborn grandchild due in March. If Don loved anything it was being "Pappy" or "PappyDad."

Don's life wasn't easy, and the path wasn't paved for him, but no matter what the world threw at him he handled with grace and dignity. He never let anyone or anything dim his amazing light in this world. A man of very few words, but when he spoke you could take his words to the bank.

He enjoyed hauling hay with his sons, laughing at the drama of his daughters, watching his grandbabies play, and being the other half of his wife. He was soo incredibly proud of the lives he blessed the world with, and his name being carried on through his boys. He loved to take naps and just sit on the couch and enjoy the chaos of his many kids. He was his boys' side kick and best friend, and he was his daughters' hero and prince charming, Mr. Wonderful. Also known as "The One Armed Wonder" as he lost his left arm in a car accident, Don was ANYTHING short of wonderful to those that knew him. He NEVER let having one arm stop him from working on vehicles, or hammering a nail.

Donald is preceded in death by his parents Alvin & Audrey Lear, his in-laws who were like parents to him Victor & Mary Jane Dicken, sisters Suzy Lear, Ruthie Lear, and Lois Webster, & his infant daughter Hannah Grace who we are certain gathered with anxious arms to greet him at those golden gates.

Without Don, our world is so quiet, and it seems like everything good is missing, and our light as a family is dimmed. But, we find peace and we find comfort in knowing he is at peace, and pain and sickness free, and hope the angels know what they have with our "One Armed Wonder" as he is missed intensely by all who knew and loved him.
