Dianne S. Reed, 83, formerly of Saxton, PA, passed away on Wednesday, September 13, 2023, at Meadow View Nursing Center, Berlin. She was born on July 27, 1940, in Huntingdon, PA, the only child of the late Chalmer D. and Elizabeth Virginia (Cunningham) Reed. On September 2, 1961, she married Thomas W. Reed at the Stonerstown Church of the Brethren. He preceded her in death on February 23, 2006.
She is survived by two daughters: Sherri married to Timothy Whalen and Mary Elizabeth “Betsy” married to Joseph DeBlase; and three beloved grandsons: Devon Johns, Levi DeBlase and Samuel DeBlase.
She is also survived by her lifelong best friend, Debbie Shontz.
Dianne was a lifelong member of the Stonerstown Church of the Brethren.
A 1958 graduate of Saxton Liberty High School, Dianne went on to graduate from Medical Secretarial School in Hagerstown, MD.
She worked as a Hospital Ward Clerk at Nason Hospital and later as a Daycare Center Aide in Stonerstown.
She enjoyed shopping, traveling (especially her trips to Ocean City, NJ) and collecting Elvis memorabilia. Most of all, she adored her three grandsons; they were the lights of her life.
