Dennis Sparks Obituary

Dennis M. Sparks, 82, of Silver Springs, PA and Everett, PA, passed away at his Lancaster residence on June 13, 2026 surrounded by his family. Born in Everett, he was the son of the late Montford J. and Verna Mae Sparks.

Dennis was a graduate of Thaddeus Stevens School of Technology where he graduated first in his class.

He was a truck driver and mechanic for over 40 years for the Alcoa Corporation.

He was a member of the Silver Springs Baptist Church.

Dennis was a kind man who held a very strong faith in Christ. He was a dedicated family man who provided love, compassion, and leadership. He was a talented accordion and organ player and could fix anything with his mechanical talent. He enjoyed mowing his grass and encouraged others to get their hands a little dirty and overcome whatever obstacles they may face.

He is survived by his children: Steven married to Ebelin Sparks of Lancaster and Brenda married to Jeffrey Ishler of Mount Joy; his numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; and his siblings: Dr. Sherron Sparks-Hain married to Mike, Lynetta married to Robert Kauffman, and Sandra married to Joseph King. He was preceded in death by his siblings: Rose Anne Shoemaker, Susan Kammermeyer and Dr. Ned Sparks.

Friends and family will be received on Thursday, June 18, 2026 at the First Christian Church, 57 Providence Street, Everett, PA 15537 from 12 Noon until the hour of service.

Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, June 18, 2026 at the First Christian Church at 1:00 P.M.   Burial will follow at the Everett Cemetery.
