Deborah Hess Obituary

Deborah L. (Shaffer) Hess, 66, of Woy Bridge Road, Everett, PA; passed away on Saturday, May 29, 2021 at UPMC Altoona. She was born on October 1, 1954 in Everett, PA; a daughter of the late Ralph and Hazel (Lawhead) Shaffer. On September 1, 1972 she was united in marriage to David R. Hess.

Along with her husband, she is survived by children Travis Hess married to Wendy, Shelly Hess, Dusty Hess and Penny Hess; grandchildren Darrin Hess and Kaleb Hess; sisters Janet Colledge married to Robert, Everett, PA; Carol Leasure married to Rocky, Everett, PA; Bonnie Shaffer, Everett, PA and Cathy Foor, Breezewood, PA and many nieces and nephews.

Debbie was a 1972 graduate of Everett Area High School and attended the Rays Cove Christian Church. She was employed at the Everett Foodliner for twenty-five years, being semi-retired since October 2019, She loved her cashier position, greeting customers with a friendly smile and good customer service. She enjoyed camping, picnics, singing, playing bingo and spending time with her family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
