David Griffen Oldham, Jr.

David Griffen Oldham, Jr., 42, of Linden, Virginia passed away on Tuesday, October 03, 2023 at home. He was born on June 20, 1981 in Bedford, Pennsylvania the son of David Griffen Oldham and Grace E. (Fink) Custer married to David, his stepfather. 

Along with his parents he is survived by three siblings Shannon, Jacob, and Kaleigh. He also survived by many adored nieces and nephews.

He served in the United States Marine Corps. as a LCPL from 1999 to 2003. David was an avid reader and loved learning about history, religions, and cultures around the world.  He spent his free time touring battlefields with his brother, watching football with his sister, and teaching his nieces and nephews everything he could. His final weeks were spent at home with his mother and stepfather, who enjoyed his helpful and thoughtful spirit every day he was with them. 

Services will be held privately with burial at Steele Cemetery.
