David P. Ford

David P. Ford, 74 of Everett, PA; passed away on Monday, September 21, 2020 at UPMC Altoona Hospital.  He was born on October 5, 1945 in Camp Mackall, North Carolina; a son of the late C. Paul and Ethel M. (Hall) Ford.  He was married to Darla Kay (Miller) Ford.  She preceded him in death on March 7, 2016. 

David is survived by his children Corey T. Ford and Breann K. Ford; sister-in-law Carolyne Ford; nephew Nathaniel Ford married to Lorie, niece Sara married to Michael Patterson, and great nieces and nephews Shelby Ford, Callan, Aiden and Ethan Patterson.  

He was preceded in death by a son Brett Ford and brothers Donald R. Ford and Daniel G. Ford. 

He was a graduate of Bedford High School Class of 1962. 

He served in the United States Army in Vietnam where he was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, Combat Infantry Badge, Sharpshooter Badge and Vietnam Service Medal. 

David was a member of the West Providence Bible Baptist Church. 

In his younger years he enjoyed playing in the church Softball Leagues. He loved riding his scooter and spending time with his nephew Nathan at the garage.  He was self-employed in the agriculture industry throughout the years, and was committed to working every day.  David enjoyed reading his Bible and Sunday church fellowship. 

Funeral Service will be held at the West Providence Bible Baptist Church, 494 Bunker Hill Road, Everett, PA 15537 on Thursday, September 24, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Dustin Feaster officiating. 

Friends and Family will be received at West Providence Bible Baptist Church on Thursday from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of service at the church.  We ask that those in attendance would follow CDC guidelines by wearing a mask and follow social distancing.

Burial will be held at Yellow Creek Reformed Cemetery with full military honors conducted by the Everett Area Honor Guard.
