Chery L. (Rock) Swartz

Chery L. Swartz,, 63, of Waynesboro formerly of Everett, passed away on Friday, July 31, 2020 at home.  She was born on November 17, 1956 in Everett, PA; a daughter of the late Kenneth E. and Delores I. (Black) Rock.  On July 1, 1978 at the Pennwood Bible Church, she was united in marriage to Allen D. Swartz.   

Along with her husband of forty-two years she is survived by two daughters Serena married to Dan Greenhalgh, Belle Vernon, PA and Kyla Swartz and fiancé Tim Dawson, Pittsburgh, PA; two grandchildren Quentin Swartz and Lanie Greenhalgh; and her fur grandbabies that she enjoyed babysitting. 

She formerly attended Pennwood Bible Church and Crossroads Bible Church when she resided in Everett and was currently a member of Grace Baptist Church of Waynesboro. 

Chery was a graduate of Everett Area High School Class of 1975.  She worked as a prep cook at Hoss’s for a number of years and later working at Everett Mobil/SK Express as a clerk. 

She enjoyed reading, working puzzles, keeping up with friends and family on facebook and spending time with her daughters and grandchildren. 

Due to the Covid-19 Restrictions a private funeral will be held with burial at Bedford County Memorial Park.
