Carolyn M. (Gray) Ackley

Carolyn M. Ackley, 77, of Bedford, PA; passed away on Thursday, September 7, 2023 at home.  She was born on February 5, 1946 in Camden, NJ; a daughter of the late Frank and Elsie (Green) Gray.  On September 1, 1964 in Wilmington, DE she was united in marriage to Richard M. Ackley.

Along with her husband of fifty-nine years she is survived by three children Cynthia DePietro married to Richard, Lauren Brown married to Kevin and Richard Ackley married to Katrina; grandchildren Matthew, John, Gregory, Clayton, Olivia and Margaret.

She was preceded in death by a sister Linda Morrison.

Carolyn was a graduate of Woodbury High School, New Jersey, Class of 1964.

She enjoyed baking, specifically apple pies, going on trips out west with her husband.  She had an interest in studying the Civil and Indian Wars.

Carolyn supported her family in all their endeavors and enjoyed watching them reach their accomplishments. 

She was an active member of the Trinity United Church of Christ in Bedford, where she served on the church consistory. 

Friends and Family will be received on Monday, September 11, 2023 at Akers Funeral Home, Inc., 299 Raystown Road, Everett, PA 15537 from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of funeral service. 

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. in the Chapel at Akers Funeral Home, Inc. with Rev. Dr. William Shrout officiating.

Burial will be held at Trinity UCC Cemetery.
