Caroline D. (Swope) Spencer

Caroline D. Spencer, 78, of Dudley, PA; passed away on Sunday, March 8, 2020 at Homewood at Martinsburg, PA.  She was born on May 6, 1941; a daughter of the late Doyle and Kathleen (Streepy) Swope.  On August 16, 1958 in the Dudley United Methodist Church she was united in marriage to Larry L. Spencer, he preceded her in death on August 20, 1979.

She is survived by a son Tim Spencer married to Kristen (Foster), Dudley, PA; daughter in law Tammy (Barnett) Spencer, Dudley, PA; five grandchildren Shawn Spencer, Nichole Kline married to Steven; Thomas Spencer Jr. “TJ” and fiancé Marcy Jones; Sonni married to Jonathan Martin and Mason Spencer; five great grandchildren Steven Kline, Abby Kline, Paiton Black, Brock Martin and Kennedy Martin; sisters Anna Marie Heath, Colleen Dixon and Deb Wyles.

She was preceded in death by a son Thomas Spencer in 2017.

Caroline was a graduate of Saxton Liberty High School.  She was a caregiver over the years and primarily a homemaker.

She enjoyed working crossword puzzles, playing BINGO, spending time with grandchildren and having family gatherings.

A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, March 11, 2020 at 1:00 P.M. at the Akers Funeral Chapel with Pastor Suzanne Detterline officiating.

Family and Friends will be received on Wednesday, March 11, 2020 from 11:00 A.M. until the hour of service at the funeral chapel.

Burial will be held privately at Dudley Methodist Cemetery.

If friends so desire memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home to assist the family with expenses.
