Bonnie Chamberlain Obituary

Bonnie Kathleen (Potts) Chamberlain, 83, of Everett, PA; passed away on Thursday, June 2, 2022 at home.  She was born on March 16, 1939 in Old Town, Maryland in her grandfather’s kitchen; a daughter of the late William Roy and Fleeda Catherine (Hudson) Potts.  On December 27, 1956, she was united in marriage to Darrel William Chamberlain.  He preceded her in death on December 17, 2020.

She is survived by children: Rick Chamberlain of Breezewood married to Bonnie (Donivan), Debra Chamberlain married to Robert Sipes, Jr. of Everett, Darrel Chamberlain, Jr. of Breezewood and Lori Chamberlain and fiancé Scott Bassler of Woodbury; grandchildren, Lacey Chamberlain, Christopher Chamberlain and significant other Alexis Bryant, Bobby Sipes married to Tiffany (Roland), McKenna Sipes married to Kyle Frankenberry, Dakota Foor, Dylan Foor, Delayne Foor married to Josh Frankenberry, Harlee Chamberlain, Dalton Harr and Austin Harr; great grandchildren Lillian Chamberlain, Chase Chamberlain, Elizabeth Smithmyer, Rylan Murdock, Brody Gelvin, Creo Chamberlain, Wyatt Frankenberry, Caylee Mae Frankenberry, Westin Frankenberry and Gannon Frankenberry; sister Fay Wetherell married to Dennis.

She was preceded in death by a sister Wanda Chilcote.

Bonnie was a member of the First Christian Church, Everett.  She was a member of the Bedford Springs Chapter No. 41 Order of the Eastern Star, where she was a member for sixty years and previously served as Past Matron and also served as Grand Ester.  She was a graduate of Everett High School.  Over the years Bonnie was employed at Gump Insurance, Sincerely Yours, Gloria’s Place, secretary for Hortons Sunoco and retired as Resident Program worker for MHMR.

She loved camping and enjoyed going to the races and spending the couple of winter months in Florida with her husband.  She enjoyed family, game shows, football and had a love for shoes.   Her motto in life was “One Day at a Time”.

Friends and Family will be received on Monday, June 6, 2022 at the Akers Funeral Home, Inc., 299 Raystown Road, Everett, PA from 11:00 A.M. until the hour of service.  Eastern Star services will be held at 12:15 on Monday.

Funeral Service will be held on Monday, June 6, 2022 at 1:00 P.M. in the Chapel at Akers Funeral Home with Rev. Robert R. Robertson officiating.

Burial will be held in Mt. Union Cemetery.
