Blaine Colledge

Blaine Colledge, 82, of Everett, PA, passed away on June 30, 2021 at home.  He was born on October 17, 1938 in Rays Cove, PA; a son of Clifford and Martha (Garlick) Colledge.  On November 1, 1958, he was united in marriage to Dorothy A. (Pittman) Colledge. 

Along with his wife of sixty-three years, he is survived by children Carol Kepple married to Larry, Everett, PA; and Larry Colledge, of Everett, PA; grandchildren Angela Nilsson, Matthew Kepple, Landon Colledge, and Elisa Hockenberry; and eleven great-grandchildren Kierstyn, Kaitlyn, Elijah, Haleigh, Haden, Halanah, Avery, Maverick, Eiley, Ryker, and Maizie; siblings Helen Bechtel; June married to Harold Smith; Kise Colledge married to Patricia; Vernon Colledge married to Theresa; and Ronald Colledge married to Ruth Ann.   

He was preceded in death by siblings James, Arnold, Francis “Pete”, Clair, Doris Stevey, Daniel, and Foster; and great-grandson, Isaac Nilsson. 

Blaine ran dragline for Frye Coal Company and Glesser Mines as well as a heavy equipment operator for New Enterprise Stone and Lime. 

Blaine was an avid hunter and loved running machinery. 

He attended Sherman’s Valley Brethren in Christ Church. 

A Funeral Service for family members will be held on Tuesday, July 6, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. in the Chapel at Akers Funeral Home with Pastor John Bennett officiating.  Viewing will be from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of service. 

Burial will be held in Sherman’s Valley Cemetery.
