Benjamin Foor, Jr. Obituary

Benjamin H. Foor, Jr., 66, of Bedford passed away on Thursday, November 6th, 2025 at UPMC Montefiore in Pittsburgh. Ben was born on August 4th, 1959 to Glenda (Chamberlain) Wethington of Dillsburg and the late Benjamin H. Foor, Sr. of Everett.

Graduating from Everett Area High School in 1978, he listed his hobby as working on race cars. Known to many as Benny, most would say that just working on race cars is an understatement. From asphalt to dirt, the strategic ability he had to make a car "go fast and turn left" was like no other. Most of the time, you weren't sure which side of him you were going to get BUT... he lived the best years of his life stopping at the pit booth to get that wristband. His daughter often referred to him as Harry Hogge because he would definitely tell you "You can't pit right now, we're busy eating ice cream". Late nights in the garage, throwing fits about a bad pill draw, handing out that crazy laugh as his team took the checkered, and cherishing every championship is what he was made for. You could also find him at his favorite restaurant (Kelly's Scenic View in Everett), just like his daddy.

He spent many years of his life as a mechanic at Kaza Fire Equipment in Ebensburg. For the last several years, he was a driver/mechanic at Bollman Charter Service in Everett. For all 66 years, he was the man who was never wrong no matter where he was. Those who loved him will forever cherish the memories he so much enjoyed making.

Along with his mother, Ben is survived by his daughter, Christina "Chrissy" Hoke and her husband Mike of Bay City, Texas; brother Marty Foor (Trudy) of Everett and sister, Lori Foor of Grayson, Kentucky; niece Lana Grubb (Tim), nephew Ethan Foor, great-nephew Shawn Grubb, great-niece Nellee Grubb; and way too many friends to list.

Friends and family are invited to join in remembering Ben on Thursday, November 13th, 2025 between the hours of 5-7pm at Akers Funeral Home located at 299 Raystown Road, Everett, Pennsylvania.
