Barbara Ann (Rutt) Sheaffer

Barbara Ann Sheaffer, 76, of Breezewood, PA; went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 15, 2023 at Homewood at Martinsburg.  She was born on September 13, 1946 in Ephrata, PA; a daughter of the late Clarence and Florence (Sweigart) Rutt.  On July 22, 1961, she was united in marriage to Allan A. Sheaffer.

Along with her husband of sixty-one years, she is survived by children Victoria Stoltzfus wife of Robert Stoltzfus, Reinholds; John D. Sheaffer husband of Robin, Breezewood and Richard A. Sheaffer  husband of Meagan, Everett; grandchildren Timothy Sparr wife Amy, of Cannonsburg, PA; Robert Stoltzfus  wife Amy, of Manassas, VA; David Sheaffer wife Latoya, of Lebanon, PA; Rosanna Mayer husband Mike, Pincroft, NC; Kyle Sheaffer, Everett and Steven Sheaffer, Everett; great grandchildren Timmy, Cassen, Nathan, Adonis, Antonio, Jonathan, Caroline, Connor, Scarlett, Vance, Jaylia, Katalina, Joseph, Summer, R.J. and Ta’Shaya; great great grandchildren Aria and Alaia; and a bother Clarence Rutt wife Judy.

She was preceded in death by a brother Kenneth Rutt, James K. Rutt and Donald L. Rutt.

Barbara attended Breezewood Wesley United Parish.  She was a seamstress for over thirty years until later working at Weis Market until her retirement. 

She enjoyed traveling with her husband and playing Yahtzee with him, taking bus trips, reading, doing puzzles, spending time with her family, time around the campfire, and watching all of her grandchildren grow up over the years.  

Barbara was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and will be deeply missed. 

A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.
