Audrey J Morningstar

Audrey J. Morningstar, 92, of 702 8th Street, Saxton, PA; passed away Friday, October 11, 2019 at Nason Hosptial, in Roaring Spring, PA. She was born in Huntingdon, PA on May 7, 1927; a daughter of the late Hershel and Thelma (Bradley) Allan.  On March 3, 1950 she married James Allen Morningstar; he preceded her in death on February 10, 1989.

She is survived by sons Edward A. Morningstar and companion Jannie, Blairsville, PA and Jon E. Morningstar married to Pamela, Saxton, PA; grandchildren Betsy Morningstar, Indiana, PA; Ryan Morningstar married to Sarah, Pittsburgh, PA and Cody Morningstar, Williamsport, PA; great-grandchildren Devin, Mackenzie, Dane, Sydney and Maci and great-great-grandchildren Deklyn and Dorian.

Along with her parents and husband she was preceded in death by brothers James Allan and Thomas Allan and grandson Joel Morningstar.

Mrs. Morningstar was a graduate of Saxton Liberty High School Class of 1945.

Audrey was a member of the Saxton United Methodist Church where she was very active in the church’s organizations and events. She enjoyed spending time with her family and talking with friends on her front porch.

Friends and Family will be received on Wednesday, October 16, 2019 from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of service at the funeral home.

Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, October 16, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. at Akers Funeral Chapel, 715 Church Street, Saxton, PA 16678 with Pastor Joshua Beben officiating.

Burial will be held at Fockler Cemetery.
