Arlene "Peg" H. (Diehl) Crawford

Arlene H. “Peg” Crawford, 88, of New Enterprise, PA; passed away on September 17, 2024 at Conemaugh at Nason Hospital, Roaring Spring.  She was born on October 2, 1935 in Tatesville, PA; a daughter of the late John and Alberta Ruth (Bowman) Diehl.

On November 17, 1956 in Winchester, VA; she was united in marriage to Edward T. Crawford.  He preceded her in death on November 4, 2008.

She is survived by two daughters Deborah A. Bowser, Salemville and Karin Zellers – Beegle married to Barry Zellers, Hopewell; granddaughter raised in the home Kami Ventura, Chaneysville; seven grandchildren Christina, Melisa, Neal, Shane, Stephen, Charles “Buck” and Rhiannon; thirteen great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son: Dana Wayne Crawford and siblings Charles Bernard Diehl and William Lawrence Diehl.

Mrs. Crawford was a member of New Enterprise Church of the Brethren, where she served on the hospitality committee for many years and founded the annual Thanksgiving Meal.

Mrs. Crawford enjoyed cooking, baking and family get togethers.

Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, September 21, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. in the Chapel at Akers Funeral Home with Pastor Paul Snyder officiating.

Friends may call at Akers Funeral Home, 299 Raystown Road, Everett, on Saturday, September 21, 2024 from 9:00 A.M until the hour of service at the funeral home.

Burial will be held at Salemville Cemetery, New Enterprise.
