Ardath Wright Obituary

Ardath M. (Mort) Wright, 97, of Six Mile Run Road, Six Mile Run, Pennsylvania; passed away on Thursday, April 2, 2020 at home.  She was born on November 24, 1922 in Six Mile Run, PA; a daughter of the late James Blair and Bertha Belle (Figard) Mort.  On August 9, 1947 in Six Mile Run Church of God, she married Donald R. Wright, he preceded her in death on December 13, 2014.  

She is survived by the following family son: Jack Rodney Wright married to Cheryl Ann (McAlpine), Magnolia, DE; daughter-in-law Irene Foore-Poore; grandchildren Patrick Wright, Holly Pendexter, Sharon Poletti married to David, John Foore married to Odetta; nine great grandchildren; and sister Lorene Cain.

She was preceded in death by a son: Joseph Barry Foore; great granddaughter Ciara Pendexter; and siblings: Jimmie Mort, Chester Mort, Ethel Bloom, Wilfred Mort, Vera Arlene Mort and Wilda Sacratini; and a niece Brenda Sacratini.

Ardath was a member of the Six Mile Run United Methodist Church, Defiance.  She enjoyed painting, dancing, doing ceramics and loved her Christmas Trimmings. 

She was a self employed beautician in Six Mile Run for a number of years and had previous worked for thirteen years at Arrow Shirt in Huntingdon.

Due to the recent COVID-19 regulations and restrictions a private service will be held with burial at Duvall Cemetery.
