Alice L. Kniseley, 87, of Everett, PA; went to be with the Lord, Thursday, February 19, 2026 at Rebecca's Personal Care Home. She was born on November 6, 1938 in Everett, PA; a daughter of the late John and Aline (Dumochel) Hoop. On August 7, 1959 in Everett, PA; she was united in marriage to Orville E. Kniseley, he preceded her in death on March 4, 2015.
She is survived by five children Deborah A. Kniseley, Harker Heights, TX; Sharon M. Page (Larry), Clearville, PA; William E. Kniseley (Ann), Clearville, PA; Jack D. Kniseley (Kim), Bedford, PA and Katherine L. McCann (Maxton), Everett, PA; six grandchildren and many great great grandchildren. She is also survived by siblings Alma Shaffer and William Hoop (Tina).
She was preceded in death by a son, David B. Kniseley.
Alice was a graduate of Southern Fulton High School Class of 1956. She was a member of Liberty Independent Baptist Church, Everett.
Over the years she worked at Penn West, Mae’s Diner, Ames Department Store and Sheetz, where she retired after eighteen years of service. After retirement Alice enjoyed reading, working puzzle books and coloring. She loved spending time with family. She formerly lived on the Bedford County Sportsman’s Club property for many years and could be found in the kitchen there during trap shoots for many decades. She will be greatly missed by family and friends.
Family and Friends may call at the Akers Funeral Home, 299 Raystown Road, Everett on Monday, February 23, 2026 from 3:00 P.M. until the hour of service at the funeral home.
Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel at Akers Funeral Home on Monday, February 23, 2026 at 5:00 P.M. with Pastor Clifford Swankler officiating.
Burial will be privately in Ritchey Cemetery.
If friends so desire memorial contributions may be made in memory of Mrs. Kniseley to the Liberty Independent Baptist Church, 13619 Lincoln Highway, Everett, PA 15537.
