William H. Waltman, 88, of Summit Street, Everett, PA; passed away on Thursday, April 12, 2018 at Homewood in Martinsburg. He was born on December 25, 1929 in Manns Choice, Pennsylvania; a son of the late Floyd and Dorothy (Ott) Waltman. On November 29, 1948, in Hagerstown MD; he was united in marriage to Patricia Ann (Trella) Waltman.
Along with his wife of sixty-nine years, he is survived by children Linda married to William Wigfield, Everett, PA, William married to Denise (Lemley), Everett, PA, Paula married to Kenny Clingerman, Everett, PA, Patty married to Mike Tokarczyk, Everett, PA and Tom married to Sharon (Felton), Everett, PA; grandchildren Troy, Ryan and Mark; Brittanie and Yardley; Nathalie and Taylor; Jessica, Elizabeth and Matthew; Cory and Erica; twelve great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a sister and brother-in-law: Mary and Robert Petrunyak and an infant stillborn daughter.
Mr. Waltman was a graduate of Houtzdale Woodward High School Class of 1947. He was employed at New Enterprise Stone & Lime, Co. for over forty years where he worked as a gradall operator.
William was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church as well as a member of the Everett Lions Club for forty-one years. He enjoyed woodworking, caring for his lawn, being outdoors, checking on his kids and was the family’s handyman.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. at St. John the Evangelist Church. 161 East First Avenue, Everett, PA 15537, with Father Derek Fairman officiating.
Friends and Family will be received on Monday, April 16, 2018 from 2-4 P.M. and 6-8 P.M. at Akers Funeral Home, Inc., 299 Raystown Road, Everett, PA and on Tuesday from 10:00 A.M. until time of departure for the church. Everett Lions Club will perform services at 7:45 P.M. Monday evening.
