Violet M. (Leader) Kline

Violet M. Kline, 78, of Basic Lane, Hopewell, PA; passed away on Saturday, November 23, 2019 at Homewood at Martinsburg, PA.  She was born on November 14, 1941 in Thomaston, GA; a daughter of the late David P. and Jewell Christine (Bishop) Leader.  On September 12, 1984 in Saxton, PA; she was united in marriage to John S. Kline.

Along with her husband of thirty-five years, she is survived by children Charlotte married to Paxton Clark, Everett; Patricia Scherbring Belton, TX; Brian Luttrell and significant other Rhonda Giffin, Breezewood, PA; Bonnie Knechtel, Saxton, PA; step-daughter Melody married to David Uhland, Hopewell, PA; siblings Ronald Leader married to Ginny, Foley, AL; Laverne Bollman, Everett, PA and Daniel Leader married to Sandi, Broken Arrow, OK; seven grandchildren; eight step grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren, step great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a step-son John A. Kline and brother-in-law Philip Bollman.

Violet worked as a waitress for a couple of years, but mainly spent her life as a homemaker.  She loved spending time with her family, cooking, talking on the telephone, taking pictures, and just being around people.

She was an auxiliary member of the Hopewell V.F.W. and the Six Mile Run American Legion.

Violet was a member of the Everett Church of God.

Friends and Family may call at the Everett Church of God on Wednesday, November 27, 2019 from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of service at 12:00 Noon.

Funeral Service will be held at the Everett Church of God on Wednesday, November 27, 2019 at 12:00 Noon with Pastor William Kisner officiating.

Burial will be held at Yellow Creek Reformed Cemetery.
