Violet M. Berrie

Violet M. Berrie, 89, of Water Street, Everett, PA; passed away on Thursday, September 12, 2019 at Homewood at Martinsburg.  She was born on August 6, 1930, in Everett, Pennsylvania; a daughter of the late George R. and Fannie A. (Garlick) Price.  She was first married to Gail Morgret; he preceded her in death in January of 1966.  She was later married to Albert Berrie who preceded her in death on July 21, 2003. 

She is survived by children Charles Morgret married to Annie, Sewanee, TN; Teryl married to Steve Shryack, Worland, WY and Victor Morgret married to Michelle, Annville, PA and several step-children and their families; grandchildren Ian and Gabriel Morgret, Dusty, Eslin and Hoyt Shryack and Myste Ellerbee; one step-great-grandchild; two great-grandchildren James Ellerbee and Samuel Shryack; siblings Leona Horton, Everett, PA; Clara Adams, Chardon, OH: Shirley Whetstone Blankley, Everett, PA and numerous nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by siblings Doris Morgret, Ruth Walters, Freda Reffner, and Myron Price. 

Violet was a member of the Everett First Christian Church.  

She was a graduate of Everett Area High School Class of 1947. 

Violet worked for the Pennsylvania Department of Revenue for 26 years, retiring in 1996.  She also worked for Lion Manufacturing for a short time. 

She enjoyed reading, working crossword puzzles and using her computer.  

A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, September 16, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. in the Chapel at Akers Funeral Home with Rev. Robert R. Robertson officiating. 

Friends may call at Akers Funeral Home, Inc., 299 Raystown Road, Everett, PA 15537, on Monday from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of service at the funeral home. 

Burial will be held at Everett Cemetery.
