Verna Lucille Ritchey, 92 of Everett passed away on Friday August 4, 2017 at the PennKnoll Nursing Center in Bedford.
Born November 8, 1924, in New Paris, Pa, she was the daughter of the late Ezekiel and Effie Lohr of Bedford. Verna graduated from the New Paris Grade School and worked in various positions at the Town House Motel in Bedford and the Best Western in Breezewood before her retirement.
She was a member of the Grace Brethren Church of Everett for over sixty years and had been in the choir and taught Sunday school.
She was proceeded in death by her husband Robert P. Ritchey and her son Robert P. Ritchey, Jr.
Surviving are her granddaughter, Mrs. Hope Blackstone and numerous nieces and nephews. She was a loving mother, grandmother and friend who will be missed.
A Graveside Service will be conducted on Thursday, August 10, 2017 at the Everett Cemetery at 11:00 AM. with Rev. Robert R. Robertson officiating.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society in memory of Mrs. Ritchey.
