Steven A. Lewis

Steven A. Lewis, 69, of New Buena Vista, Pennsylvania, passed away on Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at UPMC Altoona Hospital.  He was born on December 11, 1948 in New Rochelle, New York; the son of the late Robert and Marjorie (Stocker) Lewis.  On September 17, 2005 at the Everett Church of God, he married Emily J. (Foore) Reed-Lewis.   

Along with his wife he is survived by daughter Ella May Kibler-White, Spencertown, NY; son Andrew Boyce-Lewis, State College, PA; step-children J. Bradley Reed married to Marlene, Woodbury, PA; Eric Reed married to Lesley, New Enterprise, PA; Miranda Koontz married to Brad, Bedford, PA; siblings Robin Tinkham married to Paul, Jacksonville, FL; Andrea Lewis, Walnut Creek, CA and several grandchildren.

Steven graduated from Staples High School Class of 1967 in Westport, Connecticut.

Steven worked as a computer programmer/technician over his career.  He attended Bedford United Methodist Church, where he was a very active member.

He enjoyed keeping up to date with current world and political events.  He was a world traveler, who at the age of nineteen backpacked around Europe, even camped in the Aspen Mountains of Colorado and lived in several other states throughout his lifetime.  

Friends and Family may call at the Akers Funeral Home, Inc., 299 Raystown Road, Everett, PA  15537 on Monday, August 20, 2018 from 6-8 P.M. and on Tuesday from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of service at the church. 

Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, August 21, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. at the Bedford United Methodist Church, 132 East John Street, Bedford, PA with Pastor Robert Marsh and Lay Speaker Jim Miller officiating.  

Burial will be at Duvall Cemetery, Six Mile Run, PA.
