Shirley M. Davis

Shirley M. Davis, 82, of Hopewell, PA; passed away on Monday, October 28, 2019 at her home.  She was born on August 13, 1937 in Syracuse, New York; a daughter of the late Howard Clyde and Verna E. (Kelly) Davis.

She was the last surviving member of her immediate family, she is survived by numerous nieces and nephews and a brother-in-law Charles H. Brickel.

She was preceded in death by siblings Patricia A. Burns, Howard E. Davis, Barbara D. Brickel and Richard H. Davis.
Shirley had formerly attended Bedford Forge United Methodist Church and was very active at the Hopewell Senior Center.

She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, solving crossword puzzles, cheering on the Penn State Football Team and was an avid Syracuse Sports Fan. 

Friends and Family will be received on Friday, November 1, 2019 at the Akers Funeral Home, 299 Raystown Road, Everett, PA from 5-7 P.M. and on Saturday from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of service.

Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, November 2, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. in the Chapel at Akers Funeral Home with Pastor Paul Snyder officiating.
Burial will be held privately at Bedford Forge Cemetery.

If friends so desire memorial contributions may be made in memory of Shirley to the American Heart Association.
