Sara M. (Sayers) Miller

Sara M. Miller, 86, of Bedford, PA; was called home to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 21, 2017.  She was born on October 20, 1930; the daughter of Harry and Mae (Feight) Sayers.  She was married on July 6, 1948 to Kenneth R. Miller.  He preceded her in death on June 1, 1979.  

She is survived by her children Betty Lou married to Mark Duff, Ocala, FL; Kenneth Miller married to Valerie, Manchester, PA; Denny Miller and companion Theresa Cragan, Bedford, PA; Kathy married to Mike Pritts, Somerset, PA; Karen Miller, Schellsburg, PA; Gloria Jean Cogan and companion Bill Price, Everett, PA and step daughter Joyce married to Artie Weatherman, Fort Stockton, TX; fifteen grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren and one great great grandson.

She was recently residing with her granddaughter Heather Mallow whom we all appreciate the care she provided.

Along with her parents and husband she was preceded in death by four sisters; a brother and grandson Tony Duff.

Sara was of the Church of God family.

She loved her family and enjoyed the times they would get together to play cards and reminisce about the good old days.  She recently got to spend Mother’s Day with her family.  One of her favorite words of wisdom was to “just be yourself”.  She will be greatly missed but Heaven got another angel and she is now reunited with her husband again.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, May 27, 2017 at 10:00 A.M. in the Chapel at Akers Funeral Home with Pastor John Bennett officiating.

Friends and Family may call at the Akers Funeral Home, Inc., 299 Raystown Road, Everett on Saturday from 9:00 A.M. until the hour of service.

Burial will be held at the Everett Cemetery.
