Rosanna “Jean” (Wagner) Williams passed away on December 17, 2018, at the age of 89.
Jean was born May 17, 1929, in Altoona, PA. She was preceded in death by her parents Harry A. Wagner and Beatrice Mary Wagner and her siblings: Harry Wagner, William Wagner, Mary Helen Wagner, James Wagner, George Wagner, Theresa Wagner, Bernadette Wagner Rouffy, Albert Wagner, and Donald Wagner.
She married John F. Williams on August 14, 1950, and they were married for 54 years before his death in 2004. They spent much of their lives in Everett, PA, where they raised four children: John A. Williams, DeBary, Florida; Thomas L. Williams, wife Terri Moore Williams, La Porte, Indiana; Joan M. Mallow, Cumberland, Maryland; and Michele A. Willis, husband, Joe Willis of Nashville, TN. She is survived by seven grandchildren and several great grandchildren and her dearest friends Becky and Leroy Hall and their children Desiree, Aubrey, and Dylan and Brandi Shaw all of whom Jean considered family as well.
Jean was a devoted homemaker, caring for her family and grandchildren. She was a talented seamstress sewing clothes for all her children and for any school events including the Everett Band and the local Boy Scouts. She loved to make jewelry and to arrange flowers. Mrs. Williams was a founding member of Saint John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Everett. She volunteered her talents as a sacristan, sewing vestments, altar cloths, and all types of church linens. She loved setting up the altar and arranging flowers for masses and other special services especially Christmas. She was a member of the Ladies of St. John for over 50 years.
Family and friends may call at Akers Funeral Home, Inc., 299 Raystown Road, Everett on Thursday, December 20, 2018 from 10:00 A.M. until time of departure to church for a 11:00 A.M. Funeral Mass at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Everett with Father Derek Fairman officiating.
Burial will be held at the Everett Cemetery.
