Robert "Wimp" Clark Obituary

Robert R. Clark, Wimp to friends, 84, of Everett, PA; passed away on Sunday, April 8, 2018.  He was born on January 9, 1934 in Uniontown, PA; a son of the late Harvey and Alice (Ritchey) Clark of Hopewell, PA. 

On December 12, 1959, he married Donna (Roub) formerly of Martinsburg.  Along with his wife of sixty years, he is survived by children Ginger R. Patterson and husband Mark, Bellwood, PA; Jill E. Bequeath and husband David, Everett, PA; Ryan Clark and wife Eva (Sensenig), New Enterprise, PA; seven grandchildren Nicholas Bequeath and wife Keri, Kendra (Clark) Jones and husband Nick, Tobias Patterson, Kailynn Clark, Jonas Bequeath, Sidney Patterson and Curtis Clark; two great grandchildren Evelyn Bequeath and Warren Bequeath; siblings Ronald Clark, Bedford, PA, Doris married to Dennis Mitchell, Ohio, Donna married to Ralph Harr, Shippensburg, Roy Clark married to Linda, Baker Summit, Mary married to Tom Mellot, Harrisburg, Sally Clark, California, Nancy married to Paul Barkman, Everett, Harvey Clark, Jr., Richard Clark, John Clark all of Everett, Joe Clark married to Kathy, Everett, Lucy married to Mel Lambert, Alum Bank, Harold married to Cindra, Snake Spring, Fay Clark, Everett and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a brother Terry Clark.

Bob was a member of the Yellow Creek Church of the Brethren, Hopewell.  He graduated from Smith High School Class of 1953 as an all-star basketball player.  He was the high scorer in Bedford County in 1956.  After graduation, he joined the United States Army, where he was commissioned to Alaska.

He was self-employed truck driver, logger and farmer.  He logged trees into his 70’s.  He was an outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, building and watching his grandchildren play sports.

Bob was a true family man and loved spending time with his wife, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.  He measured his wealth by how many of his family’s cars were in his driveway for Sunday dinner.

Family and Friends may call at the Yellow Creek Church of the Brethren, 4285 Raystown Road, Hopewell, PA on Thursday, April 12, 2018 from 5-8 P.M. and on Friday from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of service.

Funeral Service will be held on Friday, April 13, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. at the Yellow Creek Church of the Brethren with Pastor J. Brad Reed officiating.

Burial will be held at Steele Cemetery with military honors conducted by the Everett Area Honor Guard.
