Robert J. Petrunyak

Robert J. Petrunyak, 83, of Clear Ridge Road, Everett, passed away on Monday, June 5, 2017 at UPMC Altoona.  He was born on March 16, 1934 in Hawk Run, Pennsylvania; a son of the late Henry and Margaret (Havran) Petrunyak.  On January 21, 1951 in Winchester, Virginia; he married Mary L. (Waltman) Petrunyak.  She preceded him in death on August 31, 1985.  He is survived by daughter M. Catherine married to David L. Crouse, Greencastle, PA; granddaughter M. Anastasia Crouse, Greencastle, PA; daughter-in-law Vicki L. Petrunyak, Everett, PA and a sister Margaret Petrunyak, FL.

He was preceded in death by his son, Robert F. Petrunyak on June 5, 1978; two brothers Sgt. Edward H. Petrunyak and James R. Petrunyak and a close personal friend, Delores Snyder.

Mr. Petrunyak was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Everett.

Bob was a gradall operator for New Enterprise Stone and Lime Company for forty-six years until his retirement in 1998. He enjoyed spending time with and talking to family and friends. He was especially fond of his only grandchild, Anastasia. He could often be found doing yard work, such as gardening and growing flowers; as well as keeping his vehicles spotless.  He was a big fan of country music.

Family and Friends may call at the Akers Funeral Home, Inc., 299 Raystown Road, Everett on Thursday, June 8, 2017 from 6-8 P.M.

Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, June 9, 2017 at 10:00 A.M. at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 161 E 1st Ave, Everett, PA 15537 with Father Derek Fairman officiating.

Burial will be held at Everett Cemetery.
