Robert H. Feight

Robert H. “Buss” Feight, 93, of Everett, PA; passed away on Sunday, July 23, 2017 at Pennknoll Village.  He was born on November 18, 1923 at Everett, Pennsylvania; the son of the late Harvey C. and Irene (Diehl) Feight.  On August 23, 1950 in Winchester, Virginia; he married Norma L. (Ramsey) Feight.  She preceded him in death on June 9, 2014.  He is surivived by children Gerald “Jace” Feight married to Shelley (Pennel), Everett, PA; Tamala “Tammy” Feight, Everett, PA; Dane Feight married to Mary Ellen (Feaster), Bedford, PA and Tangela Mearkle , Everett, PA; nine grandchildren Dusty, Andy, Jason, Jenna, Kasie, Brandon, Alexis, Cameron and Madison and six great grandchildren Taylor, Maggie, Mollie, Matthew, Braylynn and Kyla; sister Joann Feight and sister in-law Catherine Feight both of Everett.

He was preceded in death by the following family, granddaughter Kyleigh Feight and two brothers Jack and Frank Feight.

Robert was a graduate of Everett Area High School the Class of 1942.  After graduation he served in the United States Army during World War II serving in the Normandy and Northern France campaigns.  He earned the Good Conduct Medal, European African Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with Two Bronze Stars and World War II Victory Medal.  Mr. Feight then worked at The Everite Door Company for many years until his retirement in 1989.

Buss was an avid outdoorsman.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, trapping, working in his garden and just taking walks in the woods.  He liked hunting for arrow heads and stocking trout for the fish commission.  He was a proud member of NRA.

Family and Friends may call at the Akers Funeral Home, Inc., 299 Raystown Road, Everett on Thursday, July 27, 2017 from 4-8 P.M. and on Friday from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of service at the church.

Funeral Service will be held on Friday, July 28, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. at the Mountain Chapel Brethren in Christ Church, Breezewood with Pastor Ronald Hott officiating.

Burial will be held at Mountain Chapel Cemetery with full military honors conducted by the Everett Area Honor Guard.
