Richard F. Mellott

Richard F. Mellott, 82, of West Street, Everett, PA; passed away on Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at UPMC Bedford Memorial Hospital.  He was born on December 11, 1934 in Everett, PA; a son of the late Charles and Esther Viola (Colledge) Mellott.  On February 13, 1954 in Cumberland, Maryland; he married his wife of sixty-three years Joann N. (Pepple) Mellott.

Along with his loving wife, he is survived by the following children Cindy L. married to Harry E. Cook, Richard E. Mellott and Troy A. Mellott  married to Katrina (Conrad) all of Everett; grandchildren Shane Cook, Sierra Gonzalez, Christopher Mellott, Lois Mellott, Lena Mellott, Kirstin Mellott, Tylar Mellott and Trenten Mellott; ten great grandchildren; sisters Mary Louise married to Ralph Clark, Everett, PA and Barbara Gawne, Standish, MI and a step brother Mike Mellott married to Brenda (Foor), Breezewood, PA.

He was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law Karen Sue Mellott and brothers Harold and Roy Mellott.

He worked at Eastern Express, Stablers Construction and HJ Williams over the years.

Richard was affiliated with the Everett Church of the Brethren.

He enjoyed going to his grandson’s ball games, working around his home, fishing, hunting and racing.    

Family and Friends may call at the Akers Funeral Home, Inc., 299 Raystown Road, Everett on Thursday, June 1, 2017 from 5-8 P.M. and on Friday from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of service at the funeral home.

Funeral Service will be held on Friday, June 2, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. in the Chapel at Akers Funeral Home with Pastor Lee Seese officiating.

Burial will be held at Everett Cemetery.
