Richard Paul Dicken, 63, of Howsare Road, Everett, PA; passed away on Monday, March 18, 2019 from injuries sustained in a tractor and trailer accident in Elkins, WV. He was born on February 21, 1956 in Everett, PA; a son of Paul Dicken, Jr. of Clearville, PA and the late Emma V. (Stevey) Dicken.
Along with his father he is survived by sisters Deborah K. married to Dennis Yokum, Bedford, PA; Shirley A. Stuckey, Everett, PA; Nancy J. Dicken, Crystal Spring, PA; Wanda A. married to James Grimes, Everett, PA; a brother Jeffery P. married to Michelle Dicken, Everett, PA; longtime companion Joyce Hoover of Everett and her daughter Gay Wentz and her family; and numerous nieces, nephews and all of his pets that he dearly loved.
He was preceded in death by his mother, his sister Donna Bussard, and brothers-in-law Michael Stuckey and Michael Schreiber.
Richard spent most of his life driving truck for different local companies and most recently driving for John "Bud" Price Logging of Everett. He was a member of Pleasant Union Church, Clearville.
He enjoyed watching racing and football often times with his father and was an avid hunter. Richard enjoyed caring for his animals and spending time with family.
Friends and Family will be received on Wednesday, March 27, 2019 from 4-8 P.M. at the Akers Funeral Home, Inc., 299 Raystown Road, Everett, PA 15537 and on Thursday from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of service at the church.
Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, March 28, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. at the Pleasant Union Church with Pastor Lyle Mellott officiating.
Burial will be held Pleasant Union Cemetery.
