Ramona G. Whitfield

Ramona G. Whitfield, 93 of Roaring Spring formerly of Saxton, passed away on January 6, 2019.  She was born September 19, 1925 in Broad Top, PA; a daughter of late William and Ida Mae (Lane) Fleck.  She was united in marriage to Robert F. Whitfield; he preceded her in death on March 14, 2007.

She is survived by daughter Nancy married to Norman Wright, Roaring Spring, PA; daughter-in-law Beverly married to Ray Smeltzer, Blairsville, PA; grandchildren Ty Wright married to Kathy, Travis Wright and fiancé Amber Port, Troy Wright married to Polly, Sherry married to Randy Imler, Wendy Ferry, and eleven great-grandchildren.

Ramona was preceded in death by brother Gene Fleck, sister Madeline J. Mccleaf, son Donald B. Whitfield and grandson Robert C. Whitfield.

Mrs. Whitfield was a member of the Stonerstown Church of the Brethren.

She was a housewife and enjoyed spending time with friends and family.

Funeral Service will be held Thursday, January 10, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. at Akers Funeral Chapel.

Friends may call at Akers Funeral Chapel, 715 Church Street, Saxton, PA 16678 on Wednesday, January 9, 2019 from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. and on Thursday from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of service.

Burial will be held privately at Yellow Creek Reformed Cemetery.
