Myrtle L. Fisher, 90, of Kinzey Street, Saxton, passed away on March 18, 2019 at home. She was born on December 14, 1928 in Cassville, PA; a daughter of the late Lewis and Edith (Snook) Stapleton. She was united in marriage to Donald Ernest Fisher, Sr. in Aitch, PA; he preceded her in death.
She is survived by children Barbara Donelson, Clearwater, FL, Linda Fisher, Saxton, PA, Donald Fisher, Jr. and companion Bonnie Childers, Saxton, PA, Pamela Weitzel married to Donald, Saxton, PA; sister Shirley Snyder married to Garvin, DE; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two great great-grandchildren; special friend Shirley Catherman.
She was preceded in death by siblings Arlene, Zelda, John, Pauline and Ralph and a special friend Clayton Teeters.
She worked as a housekeeper for other families and previously at the sewing factory in Huntingdon.
Myrtle liked gardening and feeding the birds and squirrels. She was a Pittsburgh Steelers fan and enjoyed NASCAR and professional wrestling.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Akers Funeral Chapel, 715 Church Street, Saxton, PA 16678 on Friday, March 29, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Alfred Chamberlain officiating.
Friends and Family will be received on Friday from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of service at the funeral chapel.
