Maxine J Husick

Maxine J. Husick, 90, of Main Street, Six Mile Run, PA; passed away on Friday, June 21, 2019 at Homewood in Martinsburg.  She was born on April 29, 1929 in Six Mile Run, PA; a daughter of the late Clyde and Della (Graffious) Baker.  On August 22, 1948 in McConnellstown, PA, she was united in marriage to the late Frank Husick; he preceded her in death on December 11, 2001.

She is survived by children George Husick, Altoona, PA and Monica Reihart married to Russell, Six Mile Run, PA; grandchildren Christopher J. Husick married to Bobby Sue (Mitchell), Altoona PA; Kelly Querry married to Christopher, Six Mile Run, PA; Gregory S. Husick married to Annette (Dejarnette), Richmond, VA; Misty Ann Husick, Altoona PA; Russell J. Reihart married to Shelby (Trexler), Loretto, PA and Jason T. Husick, Altoona, PA; nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.

Along with her parents and husband she was preceded in death by all of her siblings.  She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Maxine was graduate of Saxton Liberty High School Class of 1948.

Mrs. Husick spent most of her working years as homemaker.  She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Dudley.  She was also a member of the Six Mile Run American Legion Auxiliary as well as a member of the Democratic Women’s Club where she was The Democratic Woman of the Year in 1982.  She enjoyed playing BINGO with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Friends and family will be received on Monday, June 24, 2019 from 5-8 P.M. at the Akers Funeral Chapel, 715 Church Street, Saxton, PA 16678.

Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, June 25, 2019 at 10:00 A.M. at the Immaculate Conception Church in Dudley, PA with Father Matthew Baum officiating.

Burial will be held at Duvall Cemetery.
