Margaret L. Parks, 90, of the Presbyterian Village at Hollidaysburg, formerly of Altoona, passed away on Monday, November 5, 2018. She was born on August 25, 1928 in Saxton, PA; a daughter of the late John Marshall and Olive Mae (Bussick) Garlock. She was united in marriage to Homer “Pappy” Parks, Jr.
She is survived by son Larry Parks married to Cheryl, Altoona, PA; grandchildren Michelle Clark, Tennessee, Adam Parks, Altoona, PA, Amanda Plowman, Altoona, PA and Hannah Parks; great-grandchildren Haley Adams, Altoona, PA and Aviana Plowman, Altoona, PA; siblings Blair Garlock and Francis Stuller.
Along with her parents and husband she was preceded in death by siblings John Garlock, Dennis Garlock, Doris Crum, Frederick “Dusty” Garlock, Richard “Dick” Garlock and Frank Garlock; grandson Larry Parks, Jr.
Margaret was a loving homemaker and enjoyed cooking and playing cards.
Friends and Family will be received on Friday, November 9, 2018 at Akers Funeral Chapel, 715 Church Street, Saxton, PA from 4-8 P.M. and on Saturday November 10, from 10 A.M. until the hour of service at the funeral home.
Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, November 10, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. at Akers Funeral Chapel with Pastor Alfred Chamberlain officiating.
Burial will be held at Russellville Methodist Cemetery.
