LaRue M. (Tromm) Shuke

LaRue M. (Tromm) Shuke, 96, of Mifflintown, Pennsylvania; formerly of Saxton, passed away on Sunday, February 17, 2019 at Brookline Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.  She was born on June 24, 1922 in Altoona, PA; the daughter of the late Henry F. and Bessie (Heacox) Tromm.  She was united in marriage to Frank H. Shuke on December 15, 1944 in Altoona, PA.  He preceded her in death in April of 1995.

She is survived by sons Terry L. Shuke, Bellwood, PA; Frank H. Shuke, Jr. married to Kathy (Penfield), Jacksonville, FL; James H. Shuke married to Jane (Hendrickson), Lewistown, PA; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.

Along with her parents and husband she was preceded in death by two brothers, two sisters and a daughter-in-law, Tina (George) Shuke.

She graduated from Altoona High School, Class of 1940.

LaRue was a housewife who loved doing for her children.  She enjoyed crocheting, crossword and jigsaw puzzles. 

Burial will be held privately at Duvall Cemetery, Six Mile Run, PA.
