Kenneth E Patterson

Kenneth E. Patterson, of Patterson Lane, Dudley, PA; passed on to his heavenly home on Saturday, April 21, 2018 at UPMC Altoona Hospital.  He was born on June 15, 1940 in Dudley, Pennsylvania; a son of the late James C. and Susannah (Buckley) Patterson.  On December 30, 1963 in Winchester, Virginia; he was united in marriage to Nora E. (O'Neal) Patterson.  She preceded him in death on March 23, 2018.  He is survived by three sons Kenneth E. Patterson II married to Sherri, Tyrone, PA; Hugh D. Patterson married to Dianne, Bellwood, PA and Blair C. Patterson married to Jaalah, Greenville, SC; ten grandchildren; four great grandchildren; siblings Barbara Putt, Saxton, PA and Richard Patterson married to Patricia, Indiana, PA.

Ken was a member of New Hope Baptist Church, where he was very active and enjoyed being song leader.

Ken was a graduate of Saxton-Liberty High School Class of 1959 and attended John Tyler Trade School for Drafting.  He served four years in the United States Army.

Mr. Patterson was employed at North American Refractory, Mt. Union working as a supervisor of machine shop and later working at F.C.I., Mt. Union as a mechanic/tool maker until his retirement.

He enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing and woodworking. 

Friends and Family will be received at the Akers Funeral Chapel, 715 Church Street, Saxton, PA on Thursday, April, 26, 2018 from 6-8 P.M. and on Friday from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of service at the funeral home.

Funeral Service will be held on Friday, April 27, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. at the Akers Funeral Chapel with Pastor Zachary Kerlin and Pastor Kenneth Patterson II officiating.

Burial will be held at Dudley Methodist Cemetery.
