Kay Spencer Cypher, 75, of Saxton, PA; passed away on Sunday, December 1, 2019 at Colonial Courtyard. She was born on February 11, 1944 in Huntingdon, Pennsylvania; a daughter of the late Jack and Marie (Sweet) Spencer. On July 30, 1966 in Saxton United Methodist Church she was united in marriage to Thomas W. Cypher.
Along with her husband Tom, she is survived by three children Kristin Cypher married to Paul Bonaventura, Pittsburgh, PA; Tricia Cypher married to Karan Mehra, China; Mark Cypher married to Dawn, Pittsburgh, PA; grandchildren Sebastian, Addy, Jack, Poppy and Violet; siblings Marnie Ramsey married to Harry, Key West, FL and Jack Spencer married to Debbie, Bethel Park, PA.
Kay was a member of the Saxton United Methodist Church.
She was a graduate of Tussey Mountain High School Class of 1962 and received her B.S. in Home Economics from Juniata College in 1966.
Kay was employed as a Home Economics Teacher at the Forbes Road High School and later substituting at various schools as her family moved to various places throughout the years. She retired in 2002 as a caseworker for the Area Agency on Aging.
Friends and Family will be received on Sunday, December 8, 2019 from 2-4 P.M. at the Saxton United Methodist Church, 903 Church Street, Saxton, PA 16678 and on Monday from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of service at the church.
Funeral Service will be held on Monday, December 9, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. at the Saxton United Methodist Church with Pastor Joshua Beben officiating.
Burial will be held at Grandview Cemetery, Saxton.
