Kathleen M. (Morral) Clingerman

Kathleen M. Clingerman, 93, of Clearville, PA; went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at home with her family.  She was born on June 23, 1925 in Monroe Township; a daughter of the late Irving and Pearl (Barkman) Morral.  On March 28, 1953, she married George A. Clingerman who preceded her in death on April 11, 1980.

She is survived by the following children: George Clingerman married to Joyce (Souders), Christena (Clingerman) married to Roger Ritchey, and Ruth (Clingerman) married to Lynn Miller; eight grandchildren: Candi (Clingerman) married to Mike Wilt, G.W. Clingerman married to Shawna, Becky (Clingerman) married to Tim Akers, Andy Clingerman, Adam Miller married to Diana, Adrian Ritchey married to Andrea, Amy (Miller)  married to Luke Hoover, Allison Ritchey and fiancé Aaron; eleven great-grandchildren: Gareth Clingerman, Owen Clingerman, Reece Clingerman, Tennyson Clingerman, Derek Wilt, Mason Wilt, Kayla Wilt, Ellie Miller, Evelyn Ritchey, Jonah Miller, and Amelia Ritchey; sister in law Lois (Hite) Morral.

She was preceded in death by brothers Bobby Morral and his wife Barbara (Mills) and Herbert Morral.

She was a member of the Clear Ridge Fellowship Church of Everett, PA.

Kathleen taught school for twenty-eight years in the Everett Area School District.  She started teaching in one-room school houses at Fletcher, Gladelick, and Mechanics Hollow before she finished her college degree for elementary education.  She graduated from Everett Area High School in 1944 and from Shippensburg State College in August 1968. 

She took pleasure in gardening, as well as working with her many beautiful flowers.  She very much enjoyed watching the wildlife around her house and also enjoyed feeding the deer, birds, and squirrels.  She loved having her family around her and enjoyed her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  She appreciated her wonderful life and shared that with anyone she came in contact with, through her many stories. 

The family would like to thank some very special people for helping with mom, Vi, Becky, and Annabelle. 

Friends and Family will be received on Friday, February 22, 2019 at the Akers Funeral Home, Inc., 299 Raystown Road, Everett from 4-8 P.M. and on Saturday from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of service at the funeral home.

Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, February 23, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. in the Chapel at Akers Funeral Home with Pastor Todd Bowles officiating.

Burial will be held at Zion Lutheran Cemetery.
