James Stanley Shaffern

James Stanley “Weazel” Shaffern, 65, a resident of Arista Care at Huntingdon Park Manor, formerly of Six Mile Run; passed away on Thursday, November 8, 2018 at the home. He was born on July 22, 1953 in Roaring Spring, PA; a son of the late Stanley and Margaret (Figard) Shaffern.

Surviving are sisters Joan Ross married to Norman, June Kuklo, Jean Wright and Judy Houck married to John; sister-in-law Patricia Shaffern and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by a brother Stanley James Shaffern; sister Phyllis Sgrignoli and brothers-in-law David Sgrignoli and James Kuklo.

Jimmy was a member of the Kearney Union Church.  He was a graduate of New Hope, Everett and a 1971 Graduate of Tussey Mountain High School.  He loved God, his family, his country and was proud to be an American.  He enjoyed being a Boy Scout, playing Bingo and dancing.

Funeral service will be held on Sunday, November 11, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. at Kearney Union Church with Pastor Jerry Wright officiating.

Friends and family will be received on Sunday, November 11, 2018 from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of service at the church.

Burial will be held at Bedford County Memorial Park on Tuesday, November 13, 2018.
