Herbert M. Snyder

Herbert M. Snyder, 90, of Big Creek Road, Clearville, PA; passed away on Saturday, March 2, 2019 at home with family by his side.  He was born on May 16, 1928 in Clearville, Pennsylvania on the home farm; a son of the late William Snyder and Dora (Vance).  On May 26, 1953 in Winchester, Virginia he was united in marriage to Mavis P. (Crawford) Snyder.

Along with his wife of sixty-five years he is survived by children Connie married to Roy Conrad, Artemas, PA and Roger Snyder married to Nancy, Clearville, PA; grandchildren Rachel  married to Paul Deaton, Joshua Snyder married to Allison and Nicole married to Kristopher Greaser; and great grandchildren Sarah Snyder, Wade Snyder and Richard Greaser; step great grandchildren Kristopher Winesickle; J.D. , Rowen and Christopher Deaton.  
He was a member and attended Fairview Christian Church.
Herb worked as a lineman for Sprint Telephone Company until his retirement in 1994, he then worked at Friendship Village as a maintenance man for several years until 2012.

He enjoyed cutting wood, hunting and spending time outdoors and with the great grandchildren.

Friends and Family will be received at Akers Funeral Home, Inc., 299 Raystown Road, Everett on Tuesday, March 5, 2019 from 4-8 P.M. and on Wednesday from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of service at the church. 
Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, March 6, 2019 at Fairview Christian Church at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Milton Morris officiating.

Burial will be held at Fairview Cemetery, Artemas.
