Harry Q. Steach, Jr.

Harry Q. Steach Jr, 69, of West 8th Street, Everett, Pennsylvania; passed away on Wednesday, February 13, 2019 at UPMC Altoona Hospital.  He was born on August 17, 1949 in Everett, PA; a son of the late Harry Q. Steach Sr. and Alma (College) Steach.  He was united in marriage to the former Linda (Brandt) Bowers-Steach.

Along with his wife he is survived by children Selena (Steach) married to David Nunnemocher, Hanover, PA and Darrell Steach married to Pam (Fertney), Orrstown, PA; step-children Melissa (Brandt) married to Kevin Musser, Everett, PA; Randy Bowers Jr. married to Jamie Strait, Bedford, PA and Deserea Bowers, Everett, PA; niece Glenda (Riley) married to Charlie Rightnour, Everett, PA; one great-niece and one great-nephew; three grandchildren and four step grandchildren.

Along with his parents he was preceded in death by sister Ethel Mae (Steach) Riley; grandparents Grant U. and Mamie (Smith) Steach and five uncles.

Harry worked as a sales associate at Walmart in Everett, PA.  He enjoyed NASCAR Racing, collecting bald eagle memorabilia and has an extensive collection of die cast antique cars.  He enjoyed attending and helping with car shows. 

Mr. Steach was affiliated with Clear Creek Brethren in Christ Church.

Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, February 16, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. in the Chapel at Akers Funeral Home with Pastor John Geyer officiating.

Friends and Family will be received on Saturday, February 16, 2019 from 9:30 A.M. until the hour of service at the Akers Funeral Home, Inc., 299 Raystown Road, Everett, PA 15537.

 Burial will be held at Everett Cemetery.
