Gloria R. (Keifman) Mellott

Gloria R. Mellott, 85, of Shadyside Drive, Hopewell, PA; passed away on Tuesday, September 17, 2019 at home.   She was born on December 22, 1933 in Hopewell, PA; a daughter of the late Russell and Dorothy (Reed) Keifman.  On May 14, 1953 she was united in marriage to Charles Mellott.  He preceded her in death on May 14, 1997.  

She is survived by daughters Sandra married to Don Bathurst, Howard, PA; Karen married to Kenny McKnight, Hopewell, PA; grandchildren Laura married to Jeff Steele, Valerie married to Kyle Brady, Justin Rhodes, Kimberly Roosenberg; great grandchildren Elizabeth, Nathan, Penelope, Theodore, Genevieve, Maggie and Collin; special cousin Mary Jane Hollinger married to Daniel.

She was preceded in death by sibling Robert Kiefman, Margie Coleman and Lorraine Phipps.

Gloria attended Hopewell and Everett Grace Brethren Churches over the years.  She was a graduate of Robert P. Smith Class of 1952.

She enjoyed cooking and caring for others, serving as a caregiver to many throughout the years.

She loved her grandchildren and her dogs.

Friends may call at the Akers Funeral Chapel on Saturday, September 21, 2019 from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of service at the funeral chapel.

Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, September 21, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. at the Akers Funeral Chapel, 715 Church Street, Saxton, PA 16678 with Pastor Alfred Chamberlain, Pastor John Bennett and Pastor Mark Rhodes officiating.

Burial will be held at Hopewell Cemetery.
