George H. Lehman, Jr., 90, of Everett, passed away on September 10, 2019 at his home surrounded by family and friends. He was born on July 17, 1929; a son of the late George H. and Mary Louise (Cessna) Lehman.
He is survived by his wife of sixty-nine years, Wanda (Clark) Lehman; son George of Potomac, MD; niece Beth (Lehman) Garner, Martinsburg, PA.
Along with his parents George was preceded in death by a daughter Joie Ann and brother John C. Lehman.
George was a graduate of Everett High School Class of 1947 and began working for Exxon at Sidling Hill Plaza. He retired October 1, 1985 from East Freedom Bulk Plant, upon which time he and Wanda moved to Avon Park, FL where they became avid golfers. They were members of the Congregational Christian Church, with Paul Gettinger minister, where George served at an usher. He served as a director at Pinecrest Golf Club. They returned to Everett to spend their remaining time with family.
George was also interested in hunting with friends in his younger days.
At the decedents request there will be no visitation.
Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel at Akers Funeral Home at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, September 14, 2019 with Rev. Robert R. Robertson officiating.
Burial will be held privately at Union Memorial Cemetery.
The family requests in place of flowers, memorial contributions be made in memory of George to the First Christian Church, 57 Providence Street, Everett, PA 15537.
