Gary Lee Mills, Jr.

Gary Lee Mills, Jr., 35, of Ott Town Road, Everett, Pennsylvania; passed away on Sunday, July 23, 2017 at Conemaugh Medical Center, Johnstown; after injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.  He was born on November 21, 1981 in McConnellsburg, Pennsylvania; a son of the late Gary Lee Mills, Sr. and the late Rosalie Kunsman.  On October 10, 2007 in Cessna, PA; he married Rebecca Ann (Miller) Mills.  Along with his wife he is survived by children: Olivia, Gabrielle, Andrew and Bridget; siblings: Neil Mills, Leslie Swope, Sherri Weicht, Bruce Mills, Steven Mills and Bobbie Jo Mills; step-mother, Toni Mills; many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Gary worked as a welder for more than fifteen years; he was employed at Defiance Metal, Bedford.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, mushroom hunting and riding his motorcycle.  He loved helping coach the Bedford Elementary Wresting Program, but his favorite past time was spending time with his family. He had a love for music and being outside.  He was an avid Broncos fan.
Gary’s greatest accomplishments were meeting and marrying his soul mate and best friend, Becky, and fathering the four most beautiful and amazing children.  He will be remembered for his outgoing and friendly nature, his practical jokes, his dirty sense of humor and his childlike antics. Everyone who knew and loved him and will remember him for the big kid he was.
Gary was an amazing friend, brother, son, nephew, and the best father and husband a family could ask for.   His final gift was participating in organ donation to give the gift of life to others.
A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, July 26, 2017 at 3:00 P.M. in the Chapel at Akers Funeral Home with Pastor Dan Oldham officiating.
Friends and Family may call at the Akers Funeral Home, Inc., 299 Raystown Road, Everett on Wednesday, July 26, 2017 from 1:00 P.M. until the hour of service at the funeral home.
If friends so desire memorial contributions may be made in memory of Mr. Mills to the family.
