Floyd D. Shoup, Jr.

Floyd D. Shoup, Jr., 67, of Doe Run, Calvin, PA; passed away on Friday, September 29, 2017 at Cambria Care Center, Ebensburg, PA.  He was born on March 3, 1950 in Altoona, Pennsylvania; a son of late Floyd D. Shoup, Sr. and Audrey Verna (Rhodes) Gunning.  He was united in marriage Deborah J. (Palmieri) Shoup.  Along with his wife he is survived by two children Jasson Shoup, Warwick, RI and Felicia Lewis, North Kingstown, RI; five grandchildren; siblings Elvina “Beanie” married to Lon Reffner, New Enterprise; Cherylann married to Mark Salisbury, Harrisburg; Lavinia N. married to Rick Gunning, East Haven, CT; Tina Garlock, Crivitiz, Wiscousin; Timothy Shoup married to Jane, Ridgeway, VA; Michael Shoup married to Cindy, Morgantown, PA; Mable Corbin Altoona, PA and Teresa married to Rick Madden, Hesston, PA.

He was preceded in death by his sister Roxanna L. Grubb.

Floyd served in the United States Navy for twenty years, retiring after a career well served.  After his retirement from the United States Navy he was employed for the Warwick School District as supervisor of the Maintenance Department.

He was an avid hunter and loved being at the cabin.
