Eleanor J Ross

Eleanor J. Ross, 72, of East Cypher Road, Hopewell, PA; passed away on Tuesday March 13, 2018 at UPMC Bedford Memorial Hospital.  She was born on November 6, 1945 in Hopewell, PA; a daughter of the late James and Odessa (Hicklin) Lowe.  On January 1, 1965 in the Sherman’s Valley Church of the Brethren she was united in marriage to William George Ross, Sr.

Along with her husband of fifty-three years she is survived by children Michele married to Danny Snyder, Hopewell, PA and William George Ross, Jr., Huntingdon, PA; sister Betty married to Barry Lipshutz, Dover, PA; grandchildren, Adam, Nakeyta, William, Alex, Mariah, Christopher and Aleigha and great-grandchildren Lanie and Carter.

Eleanor was a graduate of Northern Bedford County High School.  She was a member of the Bethel Church of the Brethren.  She formerly worked at Delco Factory where she worked as a sewing machine operator.

She enjoyed knitting, sewing, crocheting and spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Friends and Family may call at the Akers Funeral Home Inc., 299 Raystown Road, Everett, PA on Thursday, March 15, 2018 from 4-8 P.M. and on Friday, March 16, 2018 from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of service at the funeral home.

Funeral Service will be held on Friday, March 16, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. in the Chapel at Akers Funeral Home, Inc. with Pastor H. Lee Ritchey officiating.

Burial will be held at Bethel Cemetery.
