Eleanor L. Foor

On Monday, October 21, 2019, Eleanor Lee Foor, loving wife, mother and grandmother, went to be with the Lord at the age of 78 at Donahoe Manor in Bedford, PA.  Eleanor was born in March 1941 in Everett, PA, the first child to the late Nathan and J. Maude Foor. 

Eleanor graduated from Everett Area High School Class of 1959.  In April 1961, she was married to Gary Allen Foor Sr, and together raised one son, Gary Allen Foor Jr.  She worked as a young lady at Murphy’s pharmacy and volunteered at the arts facility teaching ceramic classes. Eleanor was a talented and passionate painter who also enjoyed reading with her lap dog by her side.  You can find items she has painted in every room of her house along with the houses of many friends and family members. Eleanor and Gary also enjoyed camping with their grandchildren and taking trips to Myrtle beach.

Eleanor is survived by her husband Gary Foor Sr., of Everett and son Gary Jr., husband of Melissa, of Three Springs.  She is also survived by three grandchildren; Bridget, Pamela and Jason, and three great grandchildren; Kendall, Eliana and Alexander; brother Denny, married to Susan, of Everett; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Friends and Family will be received on Thursday, October 24, 2019 at the Akers Funeral Home, Inc., 299 Raystown Road, Everett from 12:00 Noon until the hour of service.

Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, October 24, 2019 at 1:00 P.M. in the Chapel at Akers Funeral Home with Pastor Ronald Hott officiating.

Burial will be held at Rays Cove Cemetery.
